OnLive US offering Civ V for free with DLC purchase
Buy the Gods and Kings DLC and receive a PlayPass for the main game for free, for a limited time.

OnLive’s US store front is offering a regal deal on the newly released Civilization V DLC, Gods and Kings.
Until Tuesday June 26, buy the OnLive PlayPass for the newly released DLC for $29.99 and you’ll receive a PlayPass for Civilization V for free, giving you both the main game and DLC for $29.99.
Gods and Kings requires Civilization V to play, the DLC launched in the US yesterday and launches in Europe at the end of this week on Friday June 22. The expansion contains a wealth of new content, including new civilisations, units, scenarios and game concepts.
Thanks, Joystiq.

So you can buy the DLC, play it for a while, and then it’s useless until you buy the game? What?!

No, you get the game for free and you pay for the expansion. You can access both at any time. Pretty good deal, but I still prefer to play it on my PC, better resolution and all than Onlive and no latency!

After two or three years(I forget which) your playpass runs out.
Not a very good deal for a game like Civ, these games could be played for years. And years and years. I played Civ iv until Civ V launched.
Onlive set up is the thing holding them back. Their unlimited playpass is the only thing of any value they offer, imo.
