Great game! Not as in depth as Empire TW but alot of fun to play, before it all went wrong with Shogun 2

I’m slowly working my way through the Total Wars. Empire with Ultimate Commander is hard to beat.

The Darthmod for Napoleon is royally crap though.

The Creative Assembly are so close to nailing it, the diplomacy is easily better than Civ V, but then Civ V does pretty much everything else better.

I can’t escape the feeling that I had more fun with the original region system than I do with the open map. It’s too much bother.

They should really try to improve on the way the campaign map works. And the stupid AI.

I own Shogun, but I still haven’t actually dug into it. I heard the AI had learned a few new tricks along the way.

@ #1 disagree with that. Shogun 2 is great and i am happy that the first TW was successfully remastered
