New Worms 2 iOS update adds in asynchronous play
A new update was released for Worms 2: Armageddon for iOS recently. The update enabled asynchronous play, which means the worms will no longer be bound by timers or quick lunch breaks. This will allow you to play the same game for as long as you please. Asynchronous play will support up to sixteen simultaneous matches, along with support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and local hotseat modes. Thanks, Joystiq.

Great fun, but fiddly controls.
Plus the system is run by game centre rather than dedicated servers like Zynga has for Words, Scramble, Hanging – with friends and Draw Something. It also doesn’t allow you to tinker with match set ups for weapons and the like.
Having 3 banana bombs, 2 holy hand grenades and as many air strike style weapons as you want is something you should be able to customise.
