The winner’s of Grasshopper Manufacture’s Game Campus Festa student development program has been announced, and the games developed as a result will be released to the public as free downloads.
The program was started last year as a collaborative project between Grasshopper Manufacture and various Japan-based game development schools. The schools were supplied with PlayStation Vita dev kits, and students were asked to form teams and develop original game ideas.
The students were then required to submit their game ideas, begin development, and wrap up work of their games by February this year.
There were nine projects in total which were announced in February. Out of those, only five made it to the judgement phase.
Those games – Uni Uni Union (puzzle action), Eledive (puzzle action), Octalide (action), Volt (puzzle action) and Mou, Sou Suru Shika Nai!! (puzzle) – will be released exclusively to PlayStation Plus members on June 21 as free downloads.
