505 to publish Payday 2, says Overkill
Overkill has announced 505 Games will publish the firm’s Payday 2. Here’s word straight from the firm’s website: “Players will be psyched to know that publisher 505 Games have joined the PAYDAY crew! We know we found the best partner period. This new co-operation lets us be OVERKILL and lets us develop the PAYDAY franchise in new fantastic directions long term. With the support and skill of 505 Games we are going to pull off heists on a scale never seen before.” A release date and platforms are TBA.

I really hope they give it a gameplay boost. The shooting especially wasn’t much fun.

Payday was weird.
Just judging off the free weekend they did mind you, but it seems they expected you to grind the shit out the game in order to actually unlock the cool shit, but the levels weren’t actually very enjoyably replayable. In fact I remember getting the distinct impression that you were expected to grind the 1st few missions in order to unlock stuff you basically NEEDED to progress past the 1st 2 or 3 missions.
So yeah, they’re going to have to do a lot of work on the formula to build a game I actually want to play.

@2: Yes, the grinding is also one of the many reason why i stopped. They should at least give you some options. 5 Rifles. 5 SMGs. 3 Shotguns. Right from the start, with 15 new rifles, 5 new smgs and 3 new shotguns to unlock or something.
