New Resident Evil 6 trailer released
Capcom has just released the latest trailer for Resident Evil 6 at E3 2012.

The title looks to follow the more action-orientated gameplay style of Resident Evil 5, with both snowmobile and motorcycle chase sequences shown in the trailer. The trailer also features segments of underwater gameplay.
Resident Evil 6 is set for release on October 2nd.

insanely crazy loving gameplay!
if anyone is still surprise this game isn’t scary, you shouldn’t be because horror died in RE4.

my god!
i think RE6 will be the best RE yet…and win Action game of the Year!
the game even has different HUD for all characters!!!
Chris is like the shape of Rifle ammo
while Leon is like a briefcase
oh yea..I actually forgot there is a riding sequence in early starting of RE5. But this one has lots.

@4…
Do you realize what you said there? Resident Evil isn’t about Action… it’s about suspense. Quite honestly, both Resident Evil 6 AND Dead Space 3 look more like action games than chilling horror games.
Thanks EA/Capcom… way to bastardize everything into CoD. You know why that’s bad? Cause CoD at least gets the action/multiplayer RIGHT in the game. Bring back the suspense and chilling atmosphere!

RE has been action horror since RE4 which had sold more than the previous versions. Capcom would be silly to ignore that trend and just stick with survival horror because it started that way. Capcom have said they have brought in more of the suspense and chilling atmosphere and a 3 min trailer will not get that.

@4 RE4 still had enough horror to make it work. The series has basically tipped over completely into action at this point. I’m adamant to even use the word “horror” to describe the frwnchise any more.
Following tends or not, that doesn’t automatically make it good.

… seriously why doesn’t Leon just kill Ada? I mean she continues to work for the bad guys.

The Resident Evil game with the highest sales figure is Resi 2 and im guessing it always will be. Then its Nemesis and then its the first Resident Evil.
Capcom changed up the formula because it was getting stale. It worked we have a different Resident Evil now.
The good news is the Director of the 3DS game seems to be pretty dedicated to bringing back older gameplay elements from the series and combining them with the more modern titles. The first step was Revelations which was a half decent attempt at creating a large puzzle filled area to explore instead of just run through. Like one of the mansion areas from the previous games.
