Nintendo calls Nikkei's new 3DS model report "speculative, incorrect"

Nintendo has said Nikkei's report that it is to announce a larger 3DS model - currently being dubbed 3DS XL - nothing more than "speculation." Nintendo claimed said report also "contained numerous errors”, adding that “the report had not been confirmed." The firm did not outright deny the report, but most companies won't confirm or deny such rumors anyway, as we've noticed over the years. If true, the console should be revealed during Nintendo's E3 press conference today, which goes off at 12pm EDT/5pm UK. We'll be liveblogging the entire thing here. Via Kotaku Australia.
