Improvements, more content added for this weekend's Guild Wars 2 beta event

The second beta weekend for Guild Wars 2 starts Friday, and to get you prepped, ArenaNet has provided details on what to expect when running around and slashing things.

Characters which were part of the previous beta weekend will carry over, with all stats still intact.

Higher-level content will include the story mode for the Ascalonian Catacombs dungeon, a new map featuring the human territories, a new explore mode and the ability to travel to Lion's Arch where they can toss unwanted swords and the like into the Mystic Forge and get a surprise.

World versus World maps have been updated with a new dungeon, skill challenges, puzzles, and dynamic events. Players can form five-player groups in PvP and take part in eight-team tournaments with structured PvP rewards, as well as Rank and Glory rewards.

General gameplay and design updates have also been made, and the firm has also implemented server overflow technology so players can tell when other party members have bee pushed into the overflow worlds. Other improvements include: chat bubbles, map chat, a new key-binding interface, three tiered skills, and local chat updates.

The full list of improvements and additions can be found on the ArenaNet blog.

Thanks, Massively.
