Assassin’s Creed 3 demo shows Connor fighting wolves, the redcoats

Francois Pelland, producer on Assassin’s Creed 3 took the stage at Ubi’s press event to present the game, after a really awesome trailer for it was shown.

The demo showed a winter scene in New England, with Connor running through the woods and taking down a elk and dressing him. Then wolves showed up and met their maker – well some ran off. He delivered the elk meat to a camp/village and was asked by the medicine man at camp to bring him some mercury for medicinal purposes.

Connor left the camp to go after a Templar and ran into some redcoats. One of the counterkills showed him take an enemy and and use him as a shield while a group of redcoats fired upon him.

It also showed Connor climbing tress, and sliding down a snow embankment. You can also climb cliffs as easily as you did buildings in other AC games.

The true enemy, as always, will be the Templars. You will fight enemies on all sides of the Revolution and many animals as well.

The E3 trailer is below as well as a gameplay demo and new screens.

The movement of the character feels so fluid…natural that was by far best game demo so far.

Are the trees he’s jumping on made of titanium? They don’t budge even when he’s leaping 20 feet to land on one 2 inches thick. How does one become a successful assassin wearing clothes that are so out of place (and time)?

It really is high time for the return of The Original Assassin.

Why does everything USA-related must be contaminated with patriotic BS?
