Tomb Raider confirmed for March 5, 2013 release
Tomb Raider will launch worldwide on March 5, 2013, Square Enix has confirmed at the end of the series’s reboot E3 gameplay trailer.

It’s the first sighting of gameplay of the Crystal Dyanmics reboot since it debuted at E3 last year.
The first-half of the trailer showed off parts of the demo that aired last year, before the second half showed Lara and her fellow shipwrecks against a group of antagonists.
Tomb Raider was due to launch this coming autumn, but was recently delayed into early 2013 to give it more polishing time.
The game will come to PS3, 360 and PC. It’ll get another airing at the Microsoft press conference on Monday.

Gameplay looks solid and exciting. Graphics are great. Lara looks a lot like someone I know, which is a little surreal.
One thing really putting me me off this though, and thats Lara’s voice. It’s not doing it for me at all. It’s way too overblown and hovering really close to the point of pretentious. Guh.

There’s no way you can plan development to a specific day 9 months in advance. Given the recent delays I suspect this is the publisher saying “And it’s being released then whatever fucking state it’s in as the financial year ends”.

She still has weird comic book proportions. The animation in most of those scenes is bad too. Faces are especially odd.
Still, it looks like it could be a better game than the previous turds. Good luck to them.

@3 “She still has weird comic book proportions.”
Really? I ain’t seeing it.
There’s a subtle degree of… I don’t know… “cartooning” to the visuals, which I think is probably intentional, but I wouldn’t say she character looks disproportional. Far from it.

Even though I don’t like her voice , even though I don’t see top production values, this is more interesting than Uncharted which lost its appeal when Sony forced ND to screw it over. Oh graphics looks like UC.

Not wild about the Resident Evil/FarCry/Snake Eater tone to the trailer, but the last 30 seconds look brilliant!!

Voice acting and graphics are pretty bad, but other than that it looked really interesting. Will definitely keep an eye out for this one.

You can really feel the sense of desperation and survival in that trailer. Really mature themed too…exactly what TOmb Raider needs.

Looks quite boring. More and more on-rails and stupid action sequences with minimal gameplay.
But younger gamers (under 24) will be blown away by it.

so much attempted rape:/
the game looks sweet man, people who are excited for this, once they found out it uses QTE, they will hate it.
l love how cinematic it feels, hope the “cinematic” suspension doesn’t limit or degrade the actual gameplay feeling.

I hope they limited the QTE to a minimum. At MS’s E3 conference we’ll see the game in action again, like last year, we’ll see.
