EA’s confirmed that Battlefield Premium is a thing, adding more details will be announced next week during E3.

“Looks like the excitement for Battlefield Premium cannot be contained,” EA told Joystiq. “For details, please visit on June 4.”

Yesterday, a fact sheet emerged that detailed the features users would expect from the service after a one-off payment. Perks included access and a two-week headstart on all Battlefield 3 expansions, reset stats and queue priority on servers, to name a few.

The service looks set to cost £39.99/€49.99/4,000 MS points when it goes live next week, June 4, according to the fact sheet. Monday also happens to be EA’s press conference. Stay tuned, gringo.

In other words: no more free DLC as in BFBC2, non-paying BF3 gamers get their DLC later and will have more trouble joining a server. Seems this premium service is a bad thing for most of the BF3 gamers, while paying gamers get the same as everyone else did in BFBC2. Good game EA!

There’s plenty of servers out there that run maps from base game. I’m playing without B2K and I plan on getting every DLC but only when they are 50% off on Origin.

So how long do they expect to milk BF3 before they release BF4? Because I wouldnt be happy if I paid for this and then BF4 was coming in September.

    2012: MOH
    2013: BC3 (most likely)
    2014: hopefully some BF2142 sequel
    2015: BF4 (?)

i wanna know: b2k will be included in this package. what´s up with everyone who bought that already for 14.99 euro. getting a discount on the new package? everything else would suck and be unfair. i guess it will suck and be unfair.

Slightly disappointed that they’re caving in to stats reset.

The jet whores have been crying for it so they can erase the fact that they’re shit at every other aspect of the game from their hallowed numbers.
