Sony to shut down SOCOM PS2-PSP servers

Sony’s announced the closure of online servers for eight SOCOM titles, from the original SOCOM: US Navy Seals on PS2 to SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike on PSP.

The servers will come to a halt on August 31, four days after the tenth anniversary of the series’s beginnings on PS2.

The full list of titles affected are below.

PS2:

  • SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs
  • SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs
  • SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs
  • SOCOM Combined Assault

PSP:

  • SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo
  • SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 2
  • SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3
  • SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike
