Crysis 2 returns to Steam as Crysis 2: Maximum Edition

Crysis 2 has returned to Steam as Crysis 2: Maximum Edition after an absence of nearly a year.

New potential owners can pick it up for £24.99, but those who already own it can upgrade to the premium edition for half-off the purchase price.

The deal will end on June 12 at 10am PST (6pm BST). Pick it up here.

The Crytek shooter launched last March, but was pulled from the service after EA's Origin launched last summer. Crysis 2, as well as other EA titles like Dragon Age 2, were yanked from the service due to "a whole complicated set of issues," according to Valve boss Gabe Newell.

Since then, none of EA's internally made titles have appeared on Steam. Some games from EA Partners, like Shack 2 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, are on there, though. The original Crysis and Crysis 2 were published by EAP.

We've sent EA a mail.

Thanks, Colin.
