Infinity Ward working on “exciting unannounced title for next-gen consoles’

A job listing has shown Infinity Ward is currently working on an “exciting unannounced title for next-gen console systems.”

An ad looking for a senior network engineer mentions the studio’s hard at work on the next-gen project.

“Come work with the game industry’s brightest to design and implement high level network code for an exciting unannounced title for next generation console systems,” reads the listing.

Infinity Ward’s last game was Modern Warfare 3, which released back in November last year. Its worked on DLC for the game since then.

It would be funny to see the reaction if they’re bringing the old engine to the new consoles.

@4 Most likely by the end of 2013. The consoles are slowly dying and the longer we go without new ones the more technical problems we’ll see with new releases. The hardware is just to old to continue.

@10 I wouldn´t bet on it;)

I wish it was IW that made another crappy COD game this year and that it was treyarch who got the first next-gen title for call of duty. Sure BLOPS2 will probably be great and hopefully even better then BLOPS1, but still I want a Treyarch game directly when the next generation come.
