Bungie confirms no Destiny reveal at E3 2012

Monday, 28th May 2012 01:33 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Former Halo developer Bungie has confirmed it won’t be making a showing at E3 this year.

“We’re not going to be at E3 in any official capacity this year,” the developer wrote on its blog.

“Some of us will be there, lurking from booth to booth, but don’t expect any announcements.”

Although neither Bungie nor Activision had made any promises regarding E3 2012, recent details of the 2010 contract between the two left fans hopeful of a reveal ahead of a 2013 release for the first Destiny game.

Thanks, GameInformer.

if that’s the case then I don’t think this year’s E3 might be mindblowing.
Only Nintendo’s show is worth it:/

Because the only games that matter are testosterone fuelled shooters, amirite?

    @6 1) It’s Activision

    2) It’s Bungie

    3) It’s a video game.

    Consider it an educated guess.

Bungie are yet to make one.

Perhaps you should reconsider your.. masculinity.

@10 Okay, it’s no Gears of Wars, but the whoopin’ and the hollerin’ is just just as nauseating as the walking male power fantasy that is Master Chief and crew.

I enjoy tonnes of video games, but I will never, ever understand people’s love and obsession for these kind of devoid characters, who embody nothing but ideal that force and power is the only meaningful solution to anything.

…halo is NOT a testosterone fuelled generic mainstream shooter. never was. no bungie game was.

well i wanna see the haters when this game is out. i think it will blow us all away. everything points in this direction. you´ll see.

@11. halo. gameplay. PERFECTION. really, it is the definition of a great shooter game. the halo universe is so much bigger than the master chief too.

    What polygem said.

I’m not going to take someone with your stats srsly, #14.

Besides that’s just yet another straw man, that you ‘re mentally unstable to the point you can’t take t-bagging has nothing to do with the topic. Try harder.

    I’m glad you liked it.

0.58 k/d is a sign of a total lack of testosterone, obv.

@17 Soomeone has way too much time in their hands. You absolutely sad bastard. Hahaha.

Not entirely sure what profile you’re checking there anyway, but that’s not my k/d ratio in any Halo game. I just checked.

    LMAO!

Really, O’Connor? After you, sad nerd, ‘ve posted your miserable excuse for a gt in here about two dozen times, I finally memorized it. I just did check it, and your stats are all there, on b.net.

    You’re below awful at Halo.

Edit – 0.59 to be precise. Top weapons? Melee and Ar. Insufficient testosterone obv..

    @19 Nope. Still not right.

Not really sure what a k/d ratio in a single game has anything to do with the subject at hand, anyway.

You ‘re terrible at gameplay of Halo, which makes you look rather dense when referring to it as ‘testosterone fuelled’.. You obv have no idea what fuels this game.

Hmm, so Halo/CoD are testosterone fuelled shooters, whose personality challenged protagonist’s use violence and big guns to solve problems… Which is bad apparently.

So what’s the difference between them and Half-Life again?

    #27 2 years ago
  28. Da Man

AR rushing and trying to melee whilst failing spectacularly is what testosterone fuelled folks do. The irony.

Someone is just pissed at today’s teens because he kept playing jrpgs until the age of 30 while listening to video game soundtracks. Then he discovered internet. The rest is just a history of your regular sys admin with inane ambitions, which never materialized.

    Sigh.

I think the funniest thing about this k/d willy waving and obsession over a stat in a shooter is that it only proves the juvenile, self obsessed teen stereotype even more.

Even funnier is the fact that O.G. understands exactly what I mean and the younger crowd doesn’t. Thanks O.G. <3

  30. Da Man

    Lmao..

O’Connor, people like to play toys competitively, you obv don’t (much like the ‘O.G’), no need to post some pseudo criticism. The k/d and top weapons show certain, ironically aggressive and loose style of controlling your avatar.. The rest you should be able to figure on your own.. So the one obsessed here is probably looking at you in the mirror.

You can google some internet article and post that as some insightful criticism of yours now, you industry critic you.

i will never understand why people refuse to see the insane quality of the halo games. it is among the top 5 gaming franchises ever. at least in my book. nevermind. i just cant believe anyone with a tiny bit of knowlege about games and an open mind could say halo games are less than awesome.
my k/d in reach isnt that glorious either. it kinda depends on what games you play. objective gametypes like oddball can fuck up your k/d completeley eventhough you win. finished it on legendary.
Sorry for typos. Written on vita. i am 36 years old.
