E3 is still "very much relevant," argues the ESA

E3 organizers the Entertainment Software Association have hit back at critics who call the show's relevancy into doubt, claiming that it is still "very much relevant."

"Folks haven’t even seen what’s going to take place," MCV reports the ESA's industry affairs SVP Rich Taylor as saying. "The fact that Zynga and GREE are going to be there is reflective of a show that is very much relevant. These firms are talking specifically about mobile and social."

"E3 was losing relevancy we’d be having a fire sale on exhibit space, but it is the opposite, we are packed to the gills. I think it’s going to be one of the strongest shows we’ve had in a long time."

E3 2012 takes place on June 5th-7th with Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft holding Press Conferences the day before. Pat's got the word on what to expect at the show.
