XCOM: Enemy Unknown confirmed for October

2K's announced XCOM: Enemy Unknown will launch on October 9 in the US and October 12 internationally.

Pre-orders will get a Elite Soldier Pack, featuring the Hyperion and Reaper soldier armor kits, a full color customization feature for armour sets in the game and a character from the original XCOM.

2K's also announced the special edition of Enemy Unknown will be exclusive to PC. It'll feature an artbook, fold-out poster, XCOM insignia patch, soundtrack, art and more.

The game will also launch on PS3 and Xbox 360.
