Report: 3DS set to pass 1 million UK sales next month

PocketGamer's reporting that Nintendo 3DS will pass 1 million sales in the UK as of next month.

The site, citing Chart-Track data from a source, has said the handheld has sold 950,000 units since it first went on sale in the UK last March.

PG reckons that when it does hit the 1 million milestone, it'll miss out on beating its older brother by three months. DS sold 1 million units in just under a year since its March 2005 launch.

3DS sales were in a slump after its launch last year, but seems to have massively picked up in most regions - particularly Japan - in time for the launch of PlayStation Vita earlier this year.
