Medal of Honor: Warfighter ad to air during Champions League final tomorrow
EA will air a brand new ad for Medal of Honor: Warfighter during the Champions League final tomorrow evening. The ad will air at 8:30pm on Sky Sports 1. The Warfighter ad will go up against a new Black Ops II trailer that’ll air at an unspecified point during the final.
The Danger Close shooter launches on October 27, while Treyarch’s effort comes out on November 13.

More like ‘leech!’.

^ Bit unfair that. I mean shooters borrowing ideas is hardly new is it? Besides a nice gritty contemporary shooter to fall back on, when you get bored of shooting Blop2s robots, can hardly be a bad thing right?

Knowing how unaware those viewers are, they’ll probably think Warfighter is the next COD while Black Ops 2 is the next sci-fi shooter from EA.

@4:
I think that’s exactly what EA is hoping for.

I was talking about the ad timing. I don’t think it’s a coincidence, by any means. EA just can’t seem to stop themselves leeching off of CoD instead of focusing on selling their own games on their own merits.

@6, oh… Then yeah your totally right
Still a bit of bitching between Acti & EA is always fun. It’s like watching the two biggest slappers at the disco, screaming at each other about who’s the biggest slag, whilst claiming their as pure as the driven snow

I don’t know. Most people are really loving their military shooters these days. Me and you might not care about these same-ish / annual games but sadly, the mass market does.

True. It really is a form of “leeching” that would actually really benefit EA.
