The Walking Dead sells over one million episodes across all platforms

Telltale Games has announced The Walking Dead has sold “over one million episodes” across PC, Mac, PSN and XBL making it the firm’s fastest-selling game to date.

The first episode, A New Day, topped the XBLA chart for two weeks in a row before Minecraft dethroned it, and the episode also claimed the top spot on Steam during launch week.

A New Day is the first of five monthly episodes of the series and is available for 400 MS Points/$4.99 for each episode or you can get the season pass for $24.99 on PC and Mac.

An iOS version of The Walking Dead will launch later this summer.

This is the truth, it was absolutely amazing.

Plus, I’ve always wanted to see Telltale Games be successful. Not only do the make the sort of games that I like that few others seem to want to care to do (too risky?), but they’re also just a really, really great bunch of people.

And they listen. They talk a lot on the forums, but the differences between Jurassic Park and The Walking Dead pretty much showed that they were paying attention to what people didn’t like about JP. They’re one of the few developers that still does that.

And because of their approach and what they choose to make, I really do wish them all the success in the world. That they’re still going is completely amazing to me, and I hope they continue to for a long, long time to come.
