Legend of Grimrock has sold 17,000 through GOG.com

GOG.com has revealed that its new indie release strategy is going well, with over 17,000 copies of The Legend of Grimrock sold since the dungeon crawler released in March.

"This nice sales performance is showing – in our humble opinion – that GOG can be a valuable partner for any developer," managing director Guillaume Rambourg told Forbes.

"And that’s nowhere near all. We have many more great indie titles up our sleeves for the coming months."

GOG.com recently rebranded itself from former appellation Good Old Games to reflect an increase in newer and indie titles alongside classic releases.

Legend of Grimrock developer Almost Human said the RPG has paid for itself "many times over".
