Latest Origin beta reduces CPU load, reveals player names

EA has released a new opt-in beta for Origin. Some fine-tuning in the latest version will lower the client’s tendency to hog your system, and also ease the cumbersome DLC download process. It also allows you to display your real name via a tool-tip, so go ahead and disable that if you’re afraid of being outed as that twit who rage quits two rounds into a Mass Effect 3 match. I will find you. More details on EA’s blog.

That´s really good news. Hopefully origin will be as good as steam soon.

    PS: Whiners will be damned.

Only morons will let themselves be pushed into displaying their real name. Then again… there are a lot of morons in this world, so I’m sure it’ll catch on. Privacy be damned!

I love it when people act like the display of their real name is so big giant privacy concern when it’s pretty much the first, mandatory piece of information you have to provide regarding anything offline.
