Zynga issues Words With Friends survey as MAU drops by 2 million
Zynga has released a survey asking Word With Friends players how it can improve the game. Monthly users of the game have dropped by 2 million from 20.2 million MAU to 18.3 MAU in the last 30 days according to Appdata. The survey is asking players what would make them return to the Scrabble-like title, and what it can do in order for users to play more often. Some of the questions posted relate to advertisements, in-game hints, and technical improvements. Thanks, Edge.

Ha. I noticed this too, everyone I knew for awhile was obsessed with this game, and in a few short weeks, it was gone. Just like any other fad. There’s no changing it, or fixing it, people are just bored of it. On to the next trend…

Zynga absolutely can fix it.
Add tournaments.
Add leaderboards.
Allow players to rate the honesty of others, for example when the other player lays down the word Bhaljicadaha on a triple words tile, chances are they’re cheating.
Done.
Can I have a job, now Zynga? I’m rather good at stating the obvious.
