Starhawk map packs to be free, MLG tournament announced

With Starkhawk out today in North America, Sony and Lightbox Interactive has used the opportunity to announce a Major League Gaming tournament worth $20,000 in prizes. To find out how to compete, visit the official page for the game over on MLG. It was also announced that all map packs for Starhawk will be free upon release, and the fist one is already in the works. Very early sketches from the new planet of Cypress, which will be part of the DLC, can be found over on the US PS Blog. Paid DLC content will also be released in the future. Launch trailer is below. Game’s out Friday in the UK.

    Hum, but in Warhawk’s new maps brought new vehicles, if there are any at all, will they be free too? If the paid DLC is vehicles, are they going to have players driving around in stuff others cant use because they didnt buy them?

    It would be a shame if they axed the idea of adding more than just maps per pack like with Warhawk, those new vehicles were awesome.
