Nearly one million attempts were made to win $1 million in 2K Sports’ latest Perfect Game promotion.

A 2K Sports representative told Kotaku that players made 942,895 attempts to pitch a perfect game of Major League Baseball 2K12 over the course of the competition, which ran from April 4 to April 30.

Over 900 perfect games were recorded, with some still to be verified.

Although the qualifying round is now complete, 2K Sports hasn’t fully locked down the eight finalists who will battle for the $1 million prize. That said, you can check out the leaderboard here.
