FortressCraft has sold 750,000 units on Xbox Live Indie Games in just ten months, according to developer Adam Sawkin. The creative builder has brought in well over $1 million for its creator and regularly appears in weekly charts. Minecraft, with which the game is often compared, has sold over 5 million units on PC and Mac and arrives on Xbox Live Arcade on May 9.

No, fuck this guy. It’s a blatant Minecraft rip-off, and the only reason it sold like it did is because he got it on XBLA before the real deal arrived. So not only is he profiting off of someone else’s idea, design, and name value — a huge dick move just in terms of morality — he’s also reduced the potential customer base for Mojang’s game when it’s released, effectively stealing sales revenue. I don’t know what kind of legal action can be taken against him, if any, but this is one of those situations where a guy deserves to be sued and lose everything.
