Rumor – The Unfinished Swan set for reveal next week

It looks as though Sony is set to reveal another title next week and hints indicate it could be the Giant Sparrow’s indie title The Unfinished Swan.

According to rather cryptic bit of text in a preview of PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale over on Eurogamer: “Put it this way: without Sony there would be no Journey, and there’s another under-wraps oddity – to be revealed next week – which once again highlights the company’s laudable support for new talent.”

Giant Sparrow tweeted a couple of weeks ago it would announced some news on its title within a few weeks, so putting two and two together you have four or something like that.

The last we’d heard of The Unfinished Swan, was a tech demo shown back in 2008.

The game tasks the player with navigating a white maze by splattering black paint which reveals obstacles in your path.

Why? Why is Sony revealing EVERYTHING before E3?
A new God of War wasn’t enough? A full new franchise with all of big Sony mascots wasn’t enough as well? Now they’re gonna reveal their quirky exclusive game?

@1, Because Sony thinks that by announcing everything before E3 will give them the edge to talk about it’s press conference.

They started doing it since E3 2010 and it’s not really a good idea.

@1 & 2 There is good reasons to spread out your news under a longer period of time. By showing your biggest titles you will build both exitment and give smaller titles place under the pressconference. I personally don’t think it would be posible to remeber everything from the event but if you repeat things enough you will remember more things. It could also be a away to take away the WoW factor and instead deliever gameplay instead of just annouch the game a give us a date like back in the days befire internet

Because this worked out great for Starhawk last year. Right? That game was revealed on GTTV along with exclusive gameplay footage and now a year later, it’s coming out DOA.
Also, revealing EVERYTHING before the conference makes sense, then why Nintendo and MS aren’t doing it? Why they keep their surprises for the E3 conference where it actually helps them get more attention during that special period. Remember the first showing of Natal (pre-Kinect name)? It was really exciting and a really great way to end the conference with a surprise.

@5, i completely agree with your opinion on that.

Revealing everything before press conference is a mistake. Starhawk shows that.
