Forgotten Realms author to pen new Baldur’s Gate content

Dave Gross has signed on as lead writer for the new content included in Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition.

Gross has a long history with swords and sorcery, if we still call it that, having been an editor for Polyhedron Newszine and a couple of Dungeon and Dragon magazines. He’s behind a couple of the Forgotten realm novels, including Black Wolf and Lord of Stormweather, as well as Pathfinder Tales’ Prince of Wolves and Master of Devils.

Also, he seems quite funny:

“I was sitting in a coffee shop complaining about the lack of classic RPGs for the iPad when [Beamdog boss Trent Oster] appeared in a sulphurous cloud and said, ‘Have I got a job for you,’” Gross said in a press release.

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition is an HD remake of the classic RPG for iPad, Mac and PC, expected in northern summer. It contains a whole new party member and a slab of new content.
