Ninja Gaiden 3 DLC adds Ultimate Ninja difficulty - for free

This week's content drop for Ninja Gaiden 3 includes a much requested feature - a hardcore difficulty setting.

The new feature is likely to put a few noses out of joint, as many series fans mourned the lowered difficulty of this latest entry, but as it's entirely free until May 24, it's hard to complain.

You'll have to grab Ultimate Ninja difficulty through your console network storefront, but the game will also benefit from an automatic update adding in a whole new multiplayer mode.

Tecmo Koei has also pushed out a bunch of new items and ninja trials; you can grab all of these bonuses individually or in the Ultimate Ninja bundle for 800 MS Points or the regional equivalent of $9.99.
