3DS apps for Pokemon Black & White 2 announced, new trailer released
During Nintendo Direct, the firm announced apps for Pokemon Black & White 2 will be released. One of these is the AR Searcher which allows you to “shoot” or capture Pokemon which can then be carried over into the game. While the DS game is backwards compatible with 3DS, another app being released is a follow-up to Pokédex 3D (thanks, NintendoLife and will allow 3DS owners to have the full 3DS experience with the title. Game’s out on June 23 in Japan alongside the apps, and the game is headed west in the fall. Check out the new video below. Thanks: NWR, Andriasang.

Now play the same game you’ve played over and over again for the past 15 years … in 3D!!!!!

If the game really is playable in 3D, I am SOOO going to buy this game! I am PSYCHED. And yes @1: it maybe be 15 years in a row, but it still is awesome.. It’s also the reason they sell millions of copies all the time ^^;
I like this very much
Edit: After looking up info about this, it seems that only the AR shooting app will have some influence on the game itself and that the new pokedex has NOTHING more to offer then info, and doesn’t affect the game in any single way. So in short: Black and White 2 will still be just 2D. Too bad.. Now i still have to wait >.<

The entire concept of this game’s existence is incredibly dumb.
First of all, ALL Pokemon games are sequels, or essentially clones. By sticking a 2 on the end, what are you announcing? “The New Pokemon — Even More Like The Last Pokemon Than New Pokemons Usually Are!”
Second, the entire point of waiting a couple years (though never nearly long enough) between Pokemon entries is the vain effort not to run the franchise into the turf. If you’re going to release entries annually, why not just…do it? It’s not like the filler in the games is very laborious to produce.
Finally, and most importantly, why in the hell is this game not a 3DS game A YEAR AND A HALF after the 3DS came out? A second entry in the current Pokemon generation for the 3DS makes a lot more sense than another suck at the DS cash cow. Yes, I realize sales will be a lot higher for this particular game on the DS than it would be on the 3DS – at least in theory – but Nintendo needs people moving to (and excited about) its new handheld much more than it needs people buying another Pokemon game for its old handheld.
