The indie mech sim Hawken will be the recipient of a series of live-action shorts directed by Jerry O’Flaherty, the art director on Gears of War. The shorts will combine filmed footage with effects created by Unreal Engine 3. The first short will debut during E3 in June, according to Kotaku. The free-to-play game itself launches on December 12 and you can sign up for the beta here.
