Teaser for Notch’s 0x10c space sim released
A teaser video for Notch’s 0x10c space sim is below. The developer said the title is still “extremely early in development,” but like with Minecraft, Mojang expects to release it early to allow the players help “shape the game as it grows.” The title’s cost is still undecided, but “it’s likely there will be a monthly fee for joining the Multiverse,” as the team plans to “emulate all computers and physics even when players aren’t logged in.” The single-player portion won’t be saddled with any recurring fees. Thanks, EvilAvatar.

But.. Are we gonna get killed by synthetics so we don’t get killed by synthetics?

The pixels, the fake bad looking rendering at the end, the failed second degree humour…
Too “wanna be” kitsch and cool for its own good
Notch is a hipster in a geek world… :/

If you’re talking about ME3 – then that wasn’t the plot at all. Actually, it was sort of the inverse of that: Organics are arseholes who try to wipe out or dominate all life, this includes the synthetics they create, resulting in endless war. The reapers were the solution of the catalyst to solve this problem – to protect synthetic life by stopping organic life from becoming too advanced.
That’s why Javik went on and on about evolution, slavery, and his precious ‘cosmic imperative,’ and this is the point that they’ve made in many other places, too. About how first contact often results in war and domination (the turians), and that the only way organics can be made sane is with some synthetic elements to calm down their primal sides a bit (the synthesis ending).
So, yeah.
(Though it doesn’t surprise me that the ending wasn’t easy for some to understand. One trend I’ve noticed with a few posters around VG24/7 is a distinct lack of imagination. Critical capacities, sure, and the ability to analyse. But imagination? Little or none of.)

@7 Actually never played the game, and I was making a joke based on an internet meme. SWOOSH on that one I guess!
Have you seen this though?

It’s a nobel prize winning paper documenting how dumber and less knowledgeable people are far more likely to rate themselves as superior to those around them, than the people who actually have something to move around with. In fact, those often tend to rate themselves lower than their actual level of competence.
I’ve noticed you tend to do the former every other post or so, most often in lieu of making an actual argument regarding the topic at hand, so maybe you’ll find it interesting to read. Or maybe you won’t – That’s kinda the gist of it.

This is a fan-made, unofficial teaser, as the YT description so plainly states. Stellar reporting yet again, VG247.
