Rumour – major PlayStation 3 announce on May 2

Hopefully is God of War IV for 2013. One of the only game series that was consistent and solid (despite having different directors) on each release, even spin-offs.

really VG24/7? can’t you put two and two together?

french site? recent mind blowing tech demo? exclusive PS3 developer whose last game came out two years ago and has to yet to announce their next project? ring any bells?

also, this (along with the facebook teaser) is starting to remind me of two years ago when Sony spilled everything before E3, if I remember correctly they announced Motorstorm 3, LBP2 and another big game on the weeks prior to E3

I’m not too sure if I want another God of War honestly. I got the platinums in the other 3 and while they’re solid games, they could be putting these kind of resources in to something else… something new. Maybe it’s just me. I for one hope it’s that smash-bros type game. I don’t normally enjoy fighting games but super smash bros. made it easy enough that anyone could enjoy the shit out of it, and if I can have that on my PS3, I’ll be set.

I wouldn’t mind a GoW game with a much heavier emphasis on problem solving and exploration.

Big news for me regarding the PS3 would be a significant price drop and bundle, since I don’t own one yet but really want one to play Naughty Dogs games.

If that PS3 fighting game is real, I really hope they make it an actual fighting game and not Smash Brothers-like in gameplay. That would be such a waste, especially considering how much of the fighting game community are on the PS3.

If they can make it play like a Street Fighter type game, they can make it easy enough for casuals, but deep enough for the hardcore. If they just go the easy way and make it Smash Brothers, none of the fighting community will want anything to do with it.

nah not really. i would love to see a new god of war with the classic gameplay but maybe a bit more eploration.

the sony brawler could be really interesting too. would love to kick kratos ass with clank.

i cannot say this often enough: i hope so much for a new medievil. a really good one. i don´t care if it will be for vita or ps3 but they just have to make one. sir dan is the boss.

i also can´t wait for the new sly cooper game and hope they will deliver.

@ejams: seriously god of war paltinums? man i played all the ps2 god of wars back then, even the psp versions, god of war 3 just killed me though. i ended up having to finish it on easy due to the final boss! maybe i should´ve not switched to easy but i really got frustrated and wanted to finish it! should´ve putted the controller down and continue playing the next day. this is a heavy burden. i am ashamed. i plan to have another playthrough though sometime. i finished some games on the hardest mode, including halo reach on legendary…i cannot recall ANY game i finished on easy….despite that god of war shame. i will work on that though as soon as i find the time. it´s a great game

no no no sony, god of war 4 should be kept for a ps4 title

I don’t want to spoil this (despite it’s not even a surprise anymore), but apparently it’s God of War. As a matter of fact one reader has found out that the image tag was “GOW” when he moused-over the image. The tag has now been changed to “PS3″.
