Bethesda to re-release Quake 4

Bethesda’s announced it’s to re-release Quake 4 at retail on Xbox 360 and PC from June 19 in the US for $19.99 and in Europe in an unconfirmed date. It’s available on Steam here.

Utter unbridled insanity.

Apparently it’s being reissued because it’s ‘hard to find’.

Let’s think about that for a moment shall we?

A) It’s on Steam.
B) The 360 SKU was fucking shocking and from a technical perspective was the worst of the launch line-up – something that ain’t going to be fixed you can be sure of that.
C) Who in the blue hell is actually trying to find it?

It beggars belief that tripe like this gets a second bite at the proverbial apple when honest-to-god, promising stuff like Prey 2 is in the very real danger of being canned.

Absolute fuckmuppets.

I raise my middle digit to greet thee.

I just bought it on steam a few weeks ago. Not that hard to get a hold of xD

Doesn’t make much sense to me. Did the 360 even have a good lineup at launch? I can’t even remember, just that Perfect Dark Zero was a huge letdown.

@3, It got lost among PGR3 and Kameo no doubt.

20$? Are they crazy?

Maybe 10 dollards, but 20$ is completely out of the way.

And Cod2, which still holds up as one of the best CoD games.

Sweet. Can I get expensive rereleases of Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero and King Kong next, please?
