Vita firmware 1.66 out now

Wednesday, 4th April 2012 09:32 GMT By Patrick Garratt

Sony’s released Vita firmware 1.66 after yesterday’s pulled attempt thanks to technical problems.

You can download it now. It’s a small fix adding the following:

  • A “Notification Alert” option will be added to Settings, so you can toggle alerts on or off
  • “After 10 minutes” will be added to the time options under Power Save Settings
  • An Arrow icon will now appear when PS Vita finds new activities in the LiveArea
  • Caps Lock will be supported in the On Screen Keyboard

Sorry Pat, but using “Sony’s” for “Sony has”…is it right? I am curious. This is not a dis on your writing.

It is right, but I only wrote it like that because it’s how I’d say it in speech. It’s grammatically correct, but, you’re right, it’s not as clear as it could be.

One is a contraction – “Sony has” The other is genetive (possessive) “Sony’s game”

TY for the update, i wish these updates would enable a few more PSP games to work on the Vita. I got Burnout Legends sat in my download queue wanting to be played.
