Puzzler SpeedThru, Kirby cartoon head up this week's Nintendo Downloads

A free Kirby cartoon series and Nintendo-developed puzzle title SpeedThru: Potzol's Puzzle get the top billing on the Nintendo eShop update for this week.

SpeedThru offers up 90 different levels of block-turning which has been specifically designed to test and improve spatial awareness via using the 3D effect of the Nintendo 3DS. As you might imagine, it's a 3DS exclusive title.

Also up for the 3DS this week is a demo of Farming Simulator 2012, while DSiWare and WiiWare get one release each. DSi owners can look out for a new action title titled Pirates Assault, while Wii owners will fine Violin Paradise up for download this week - a game designed to simulate playing much of the string section of an orchestra using the Wii Remote.

The most interesting update this week comes in the form of the return of the Kirby TV Channel to the Wii. As of this week Kirby fans can use this to catch two new episodes of a Kirby cartoon every week for the next six months completely free of charge.

That's it for this week. Happy downloading.
