Saturday, 31st March 2012 18:36 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

BioWare has updated the SWTOR blog to discuss the new PvP ranking system coming with patch 1.2. According to the team, changes in rank will be based on said rank when compared to your opponents’, and separate tracking options for solo and group players will be available. New Warzone rewards were also highlighted along with improvements to purchasing rewards and commendations earned in battle. A new vote-kick system will also be implemented to cut-back on AFK players. Fans can get their first taste of the PvP changes at PAX East next weekend. Hit up the blog for a more lengthy version of the changes. Thanks, Massively.

@2 – I think you’ll find that many wouldnt waste their bandwith.

This carrot they are dangling infront of players(in the shape of 1.2) kind of shows that SWTOR was pushed out the door 6 months too soon.

With the changes to pvp, I think the problem Bioware will face, is where are they going to find the players? With so many servers reporting huge drops in numbers, unbalanced faction numbers, increased Qs for Warzone matches, their only response is to increase same faction v same faction bull shit, instead of introducing x-server support.

And all this chatter coming from a man(Gabe) who hasnt a fucking clue about pvp – Ilum is a prime example combined with the unbalanced mess that was Bounty Hunter(tracer spam) and Trooper(Grav spam) thrown in with HUGE amounts of DOT stacking.

And Gabe, what game did you work on before? Oh it was WAR and their pvp died quickly too. Brilliant!

Again, provide some sources for the numbers your referring to. Otherwise it is pure BS your saying -.-’

@4 I dont need to provide anything. Look on their forums, see for yourself. Almost everyone is asking for server merges ALREADY! Can you show proof that server sizes have increased? no.

The numbers will be out soon enough although I think EA will try and hide the decline in their free weekend trials by claming ‘active subs’ are up again.

Personally, the sooner they merge the servers, the sooner they can save their flagging game.

Hardly it is the majority asking for it. There is what? 50-70 unique people who want it on the forum, that is far from the majority. And remember people are busy playing the game not whining about it. It is only the haters, such as you, that will sub just to flame on the official forums.
