New Harmonix game to be shown at PAX East

Dance Central and Rock Band developer Harmonix will debut its next game at PAX East.

Destructoid picked up on a mention of the game buried in the description of Harmonix's Evolution of Beatmatch Gameplay panel:

"The panel will include gameplay examples from internal prototypes, honest discussion of our design process successes and failures, insight into how we create and test our games in development, and a synopsis of the design history of a title on public display for the very first time at the Harmonix booth."

The context seems to make it clear that the new game is some kind of rhythm action affair, but otherwise, we're completely at sea.

The last mention of a new Harmonix games was a Facebook and downloadable title noted in a CV; Harmonix laughed the story off, saying it's constantly working and prototyping new games, and had no announcements to make.

PAX East is a regional spin-off to Penny Arcade's Prime expo event, and takes place from April 6 to 8 in Boston.
