Amazon sends out pre-order cancellation notices for Vanillaware RPG Dragon’s Crown

NeoGAF users are reporting Amazon has cancelled pre-orders for Vanillaware’s PS Vita-PS3 crossover, action-RPG Dragon’s Crown, which is to be published by Ignition. We had a look over on Amazon, and sure enough, the game is no longer listed as far as we can tell – however, GAF notes it’s a bit hard to find on the site. The game is still listed for sale on Amazon Canada, so hopefully it’s just some sort of burp in the US system. It’s possible, as things like this have happened before, most recently with GameStop’s Last Guardian gaff. We’ll send a mail just in case.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s going to be download-only. The infrastructure’s there and I’d imagine it makes more financial sense for what is a fairly niche product.

@1 Thank you. After reading this news post, all I could think about was cancellation which would be horrible for such a sweet game. I didn’t realize this news could mean change into a downloadable title. Again, thank and hopefully it’s either that or the burp Stephany mentioned.
