Epic Mickey 2 3DS a sequel to Castle of Illusion

The 3DS version of Epic Mickey 2 is the sequel to 1990s Mega Drive title Castle of Illusion, according to the latest Nintendo Power.

The title, separate from the console version of Epic 2 on PS3, 360 and Wii, is called Power of Illusion, and is being made by the developer of DS platformer Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure, Dreamrift.

The title will make heavy usage of the 3DS stilus, feature levels based off Disney animated films - like Tangled - and also has hand-drawn backparallax backgrounds that give it a 16-bit feel.

Also, every character that's saved by Mickey in the game will appear in a fortress that he uses, in what appears to be a nod at Suikoden.

No date yet, but it's likely it'll appear alongside the console version of Epic Mickey 2 this fall.
