Report: Assassin’s Creed III Wii U support detailed
Assassin’s Creed III on Wii U will utilise the tablet controller as a link between the game and the Animus, the latest Nintendo Power has apparently said.

The details, transcribed by MyNintendoNews, reports the support between the controller and Animus will mean a persistant and on-screen map will be available on it, while the game is on the TV.
It can also display encyclopedia and database entries can appear on the touchscreen instead of the TV, meaning it won’t break up the flow of the game.
It can also be used for touchscreen weapon selection, enabling the player to change from duel-wielded combat to single on the fly. It can also enable an alternative view for Eagle Vision.
Assassin’s Creed III launches on October 31 worldwide for PS3, 360 and PC. The Wii U version will follow soon afterwards.
Expect a massive blowout on the game on the site from 5pm BST this evening.

A time traveller!
Or have I been dragged into a genetic memory? Guess we’ll know soon enough if my dialogue starts repeating.

Useless feature.
Screen is too small for database and other stuff.
If i play on my console i don’t look at my controls. On the PC for example it’s much easier to use database and other features like that than on any device.
You just press ESC button and you can do whatever you want by just using your mouse.
Since Wii, every “Innovative” thing Nintendo did pretty much is useless for gaming.

How will looking down to read an encyclopaedia entry not break the flow of the game? As soon as your eyes are off the screen, you arent playing any more.

As it is now, I just can’t get behind the WiiU. That controller just looks horrible.
