Friday, 23rd March 2012 15:18 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Paradox Interactive and Seatribe have announced the opening of beta sign-ups for the free-to-play, browser-based MMO, Salem.

Interested beta testers can sign up here to participate.

“We’ve been getting Beta requests from gamers since we announced Salem and it’s great to finally be able to let people into the beta testing” said Björn Johannessen , lead designer at Seatribe. “We’ve chosen to keep the sign up completely open, the more the merrier, and will do our best to listen to all feedback we get.”

A new developer diary has also been released and is posted below.

I mentioned this somewhere before, but this is my most disappointing game reveal of all time. On paper it sounded perfect, but visually it’s very weak.

If it looked like the concept art at the top of this article, we’d be getting somewhere.
