Report – BBC iPlayer launching on Xbox Live next week

BBC iPlayer is set to launch on Xbox Live as early as next week, according to a Eurogamer report.

Following past issues that stopped it coming onto Xbox Live, specifically on providing a charge for it, it’ll now come to XBL for free for all Gold and Silver members.

Microsoft is staying mum, though, saying it doesn’t “comment on rumour and speculation”.

Other catchup services on Live include 4oD, Demand 5 and ITV Player, the latter due this year. It also has Sky Go to provide live Sky TV and catchup services.
