THQ files trademark application for 1666

One of THQ's multiple secret projects may have just become slightly less mysterious.

The publishers has made a gaming trademark application for 1666.

Gamespot notes 1666 is the year of the Great Fire of London - among other historical events - and is a favourite year of conspiracy authors thanks to its notable Roman numeral configuration; every number, once each, in descending order.

THQ has six unannounced titles in the work for release over the next few years, as well as an untitled project from Turtle Rock and another from former Assassin's Creed creative Patrice Désilets. Hem hem.

Earlier this month, THQ was caught trademarking the word Evolve, too.
