Phantasy Star Online 2 announced for PlayStation Vita, out 2013

A pre-recorded stream announcing PlayStation Vita games has confirmed that Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to the portable.

The game, due to release next year, will have cross-platform play between the Vita version and PC version, with players able to play the same character on both versions.

There’s video of it below, featuring gameplay footage and an interview with series producer Sakai Satoshi.

The MMO was announced at TGS 2010.

This game looks awesome, too bad it’s not until next year. The Vita could use a game like this now.

I would give me left ventricle for them to remake the oroginal PS (1, 2, 3 at least) in HD. I’m sure I once heard a rumour they were doing PS1, but never saw it get released.

As for PSO – meh. Never got into it. Button mashin shite, dismal continuation of a promising RPG franchise.

@3 Except for the fact that it just copies what 90% of other games already do, and some of us actually enjoy turn based? :/
