PS Suite SDK to go into open beta next month, full release later this year

Sony's announced the PlayStation Suite, the development suite that will allow developers to bring original content to PlayStation Certified handsets and PlayStation Vita, will go into open beta next month.

A closed beta kicked off late last year to certain developers in Japan, the US and the UK, but the open beta will expand outside those regions.

A full release will launch later this year for $99, enabling developers to commercially sale content on the PlayStation Store.

Sony's also confirmed it'll deliver new content for PlayStation Suite in a phased rollout beginning later this year in regions like Japan, US, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Australia.

The PS Suite was announced last year alongside Vita and the Certification program.
