Medal of Honor Warfighter teaser video released

A video for EA’s Medal of Honor: Warfighter has been released. It’s more of a tease than anything else, but you get the idea: bad guys, soldiers, and lots of shooting.

The video states you can also pre-order the game’s limited edition “at no extra” cost. It will unlock the U.S. Navy SEAL Tier 1 Sniper class on day one of launch which will save the player an estimated 40-hours of time normally be required to unlock the operator.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition is available on Origin.com and other participating retailers. More details are expected through the official MoH website.

Here’s a list of key game features as in the press release and posted on various retail sites:

  • Dotted Line to Real World Events – From rescuing hostages in Abu Sayyaf’s stronghold in Basilan, Philippines to assaulting Al-Shabaab’s “Pirate Town” on the Somali Coast, gamers step into the boots of Tier 1 Operators as they hunt down the global threat of PETN. Medal of Honor Warfighter is the only game that gives players a view into these real world events and lets them experience the action as it might have unfolded.
  • The Power of Frostbite 2 – Leveraging the power of the ground-breaking Frostbite 2 engine, Medal of Honor Warfighter delivers incredible video and audio fidelity to enhance the intensity of the battle and deliver this year’s most authentic war experience.
  • War is Personal for the Entire Family – Medal of Honor Warfighter goes beyond the battlefield and reveals the heartbreaking side of war, told through the eyes of military families. With a story written by Operators from this community, Medal of Honor Warfighter unveils intimate insights into the sacrifices of the warriors on the ground – and their families.
  • National Pride Online with Global Tier 1 – Internationally, allied military forces also possess their own elite units with similar capabilities. With Medal of Honor Warfighter gamers can represent their nation’s Tier 1 Operators on the global battlefield. For the first time, the Medal of Honor brand introduces multi-national Tier 1 blue-vs-blue team play where the world’s best of the best warriors go head-to-head in combat. The game features 12 different Tier 1 units from a variety of nations including the British SAS, Australian SASR, German KSK and Polish GROM.
  • One Studio, One Vision – Developed by Danger Close Games in Los Angeles, California, Medal of Honor Warfighter sees the return of key development leads who helped reboot the multi-platinum hit in 2010. The core team is bolstered by industry veterans who hail from DICE, Treyarch and more. Together, this team is united behind a single vision for the game – authenticity, respect and honor for today’s warfighters, with real emotion, real threats and a game designed to highlight the extraordinary nature of the material.

Written by active U.S. Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas and inspired by real world threats, Medal of Honor Warfighter is out October 23 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

The ACOG is exactly same as in BF3
I just hope levels are bigger or to have Destruction like in Bad Company 2 . Man can dream.

So all the special forces in the world meet up in Chechnya to kick some ass?

A likely story! :P

Anyway, I hope they manage to build on the last one. Can’t be easy having to jump into a new engine.

Certainly looks very promising, and DSB, I’m with you on this one, I hope they build from the previous game. Though from the looks of it, it looks like they’ve built a city from one skyscraper.

I’m betting the SP will mainly only feature US special forces, leaving the rest as MP teams.

Using real world events is stupid.

Not interested.

I’ll take seeing an event that really happened over the thousandth “Russians-are-threatening-the-world-with-nuclear-terror” plot most modern war stories are telling these days.

@12 But it’s exactly the same thing. They’re just providing a setting that exploits those military operations so they can sell more games.

It’s completely tasteless.

If they were actually serious about realism or telling the stories of the men who fought those battles, that would be borderline interesting. That’s not it by a long shot, though.

Obviously, after the “controversy” over the last game, they’re now directing their PR towards pulling the same shit all over again.

Extremely excited about this game. I’ve been a huge enthusiast for the reboot of the franchise, and will continue to support EA, Dice, and especially Danger Close.

I like the voice-over of the guy talking of the fear they have of these spec-ops soldiers… It’s exactly the same fear the Western leaders/media would have us feel for the terrorists…

“Al-Qaeda are like shadows!! Their beards catch bullets!! They raise your tax by claiming benefits!!”
