I Am Alive companion app out now, free

Downloadable survival adventure I Am Alive has spawned a helpful iOS companion app.

The meatiest features act as a mini-strategy guide, offering maps, developer hints, trophy and achievement guides, and detailed descriptions of in-game items.

A number of extras sweeten the deal; you can listen to the game's soundtrack plus six bonus tracks, see behind the scenes videos and trailers, and view the game's concept art.

Finally, you can apply apocalypse filters to photos. Yep.

The app is available for free here.

I Am Alive arrives on Xbox Live Arcade this week for 1,200 MS Points, and has already pulled some impressive reviews. A PlayStation Network version is to follow, and possibly even a PC release.
