Fruit Ninja Kinect hits 1 million downloads

Halfbrick has a busy year ahead of it following on from the success of Fruit Ninja Kinect.

The Kinect version of popular casual slicer Fruit Ninja, also available on iOS and Android, has toted up over 1 million downloads on Xbox Live Arcade.

Fruit Ninja Kinect was launched eight months ago and features during Microsoft's Summer of Arcade promotion.

The Australian developer doesn't plan to rest on its laurels, with a full schedule over the next year.

"You'll see updates for all of our games and a new IP this year," Halfbrick's Phil Larsen told Joystiq at GDC 2012.

Halfbrick's other successes include Jetpack Joyride and Age of Zombies. The Brisbane-based developer recently expanded with a second studio in Sydney.
