Battlefield 3: Aftershock will not return to iOS

After an ill-fated launch swamped with negative reviews and player complaints which ultimately resulted in the game being removed from the App Store, it's now been confirmed that Battlefield 3: Aftershock will not be returning.

Back on February 22nd, as the game was unceremoniously yoinked, EA explained that, "EA Mobile is committed to delivering mobile entertainment experiences that are on par with the content and quality users have come to expect from their favorite EA gaming brands".

Things went quiet there for a while, but now it seems EA is willing to talk about it.

According to Vox Games, EA has decided "to suspend development and support of Battlefield 3: Aftershock and refocus its resources on other titles".

That means, if you're one of the handful who downloaded the game and didn't hate it, you've got about a month to get your playtime in. For everybody else, it's life as usual.
